Ecoboilers have been in the renewable energy business since 2004 which is before any Government Grants were introduced, we are still in business today providing a complete supply, installation and after sales service for our customers.

Many of the “convenience suppliers” who entered the business on the back of the now defunct Government grants are gone out of the business, some leaving customers with bad experiences of heating with wood pellet, wood chip and biomass boilers in general.

A lot has been learned and changed since our first wood pellet boiler installation, in the beginning the learning curve was a steep one as most suppliers and installers were working from poorly translated manufacturers documents, in fairness to many who left the industry some of the manufacturers were still learning about their own products and were slow to respond to requests for technical support.

As our business model was always for the long term we worked with the manufacturers to ensure our customers were not left without heat, in fact our policy has always been to ensure a system is back working within 24 hours of being notified of a problem by our customer, (the longest wait recorded was 12 hours).

We work with others in the industry exchanging knowledge and experiences of different systems, this helps us to dispel many of the myths that have grown for example Ireland is too damp for heating with wood pellet.

As we provide service to a lot of customers who bought systems from other suppliers and had them installed by others we have seen a lot of very questionable wood pellet storage systems, however unless they were actually exposed to water such as leaking roofs wood pellet has proven itself to be very suited to the Irish climate.

Our main policy is continued education about the systems we currently work with and new or improved technology, this has helped to keep us in business as our customers appreciated the fact that very often we were dealing with new technology to Ireland and indeed Europe.

We welcome any questions and suggestions you may have.
