Ecomax Wood Gasification Boilers
DESCRIPTION:
The boiler has a drum welded from metal sheets with a thickness of 4-6 mm. In
The upper part of the boiler is a large hopper where the logs are loaded.
The lower part contains a round combustion chamber.
The two spaces are separated by a ceramic nozzle.
In the front of the drum there is a blower used to move primary and secondary air into the combustion chamber.
In the back there is a heat exchanger, a flue way, a flue duct and openings for cleaning.
Advantages of wood gasification boilers:
Ecomax gasification boilers are supplied with electronic controllers allowing for easy operation.
A REG05 microprocessor controller is built into the controller box. In the basic configuration, the controller regulates the output of the boiler on the basis of a preset water temperature in the heating system, or on the basis of a required temperature in a reference room, and it controls the operation of the circulation pump.
The large hopper shaft of these boilers allows the combustion of large pieces of wood, providing for a long combustion time. Stoking is required approximately every 10 hours. Due to its large volume, the combustion chamber is very easy to clean.
Gasification process:
The gasification process consists of the thermal separation of organic and inorganic substances. The wood in the hopper is first heated and dried, and the released gases mix with secondary air in the entrance to the burn chamber.
The resulting gas mixture is then burned in the boiler's combustion chamber. The combustion gases then pass through the heat exchanger into the chimney.
This process allows a boiler efficiency exceeding 80%.
Wood must be combusted as dry as possible, the recommended moisture content of 15% because water is released from wet wood, and it then condenses on the inside of the boiler and the chimney. This leads to the formation of aggressive substances that significantly shorten the life of the boiler.
Buffer Tanks:
Buffer tanks should be used with wood gasifiers to store the heat generated and release it to the heating system at a level / stable temperature.
